Paws-Up! Dog Services – Behaviour & Training Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
By booking any behaviour or training service with Paws-Up! Dog Services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure clarity, safety, and mutual understanding for both parties.
2. Services Provided
We offer one-to-one dog behaviour consultations, group training sessions (in person and online), and bespoke coaching programmes.
3. Booking and Payment
- All sessions must be booked in advance.
- Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your place.
- Package deals (e.g. 6-week course) must be completed within 3 months of the start date unless otherwise agreed.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- You may cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice without charge (this applies to both in-person and online sessions).
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
- Missed sessions (including failure to attend an online call) are not refunded or rescheduled.
- In exceptional circumstances (e.g. emergencies), we may offer a discretionary reschedule.
- If we must cancel a session for any reason (e.g. illness, technical issues), a full refund or reschedule will be offered.
5. Online Sessions
- Online training and behaviour sessions are conducted via Google Meet (or other agreed platform).
- It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have a stable internet connection and access to the platform.
- If technical issues on the client’s side prevent the session from taking place or cause significant disruption, this may be treated as a missed session.
- Please ensure you are in a quiet, distraction-free environment where your dog can participate.
- You may be asked to record video clips of your dog’s behaviour prior to the session to support analysis and advice.
- Online sessions are just as valuable as in-person and require the same level of participation and commitment.
6. Refunds
- Refunds are not given for completed sessions or partially used packages.
- If Paws-Up! must cancel for any reason, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.
7. Health and Safety (In-Person Sessions)
- Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations or titre tested.
- Dogs showing signs of contagious illness (e.g. kennel cough, vomiting, diarrhoea) must not attend sessions.
- Owners are responsible for their dog’s health and safety during sessions.
- Please inform us of any allergies, medical issues, or injuries before your session.
8. Behavioural Issues
- Behaviour consultations are designed to assess and help manage specific issues (e.g. reactivity, aggression, fear).
- Success depends on consistent effort and implementation by the owner. No guarantee is offered that all problems will be resolved.
- Severe aggression or safety concerns may require veterinary input or referral to a clinical behaviourist.
9. Owner Responsibility
- You are fully responsible for your dog at all times.
- You must inform us of any history of aggression, bites, or incidents.
- Failure to disclose behavioural history may result in termination of services with no refund.
10. Children and Family Involvement
- Children are welcome to attend sessions under supervision and with prior agreement.
- Parents remain responsible for their child’s safety at all times.
11. Photos and Social Media
- We may take photos or videos for training records or promotional purposes.
- Please let us know in writing if you do not consent to the use of images featuring you or your dog.
12. Liability
- Paws-Up! Dog Services accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to dogs, owners, or third parties during sessions.
- You are advised to have appropriate pet insurance.
13. Weather and Outdoor Sessions
- Outdoor sessions may be postponed due to extreme weather (e.g. heat, storms) and rescheduled at no extra cost.
14. Confidentiality
- All personal information is treated in line with GDPR.
- Case notes and discussions remain confidential and will not be shared without your consent.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
